Ridge View Secondary College and Coastal Lakes College have joined with Svitzer, in association with OSM Maritime, to deliver the Oceans Project, which gives students exciting unique career opportunities and real-world experiences in ocean sustainability.
The project aims to help students identify potential careers and local employment opportunities in the maritime industry.
It is also about ensuring students have an opportunity to contribute to a healthy and sustainable ocean environment.
The project arose from a desire to have a focus that was linked to both Colleges, core values, had a degree of uniqueness and was forward thinking in terms of potential outcomes for students into the future.
Svitzer and OSM Maritime, were companies who recognised the alignment to their organisational values. Through a partnership with us they could further promote their stated objective of ocean sustainability and influence greater interest and opportunity in the maritime industry, especially in the local area.
